Bible Study Is Back!
Wednesdays, 6:00–7:00 p.m. | Room 210
We are delighted to announce that our Bible Study Group is back and meeting once again under the leadership of Pastor Chidongo.
Our study has begun with the Gospel According to St. John, where we will explore the life, teachings, miracles, and message of Jesus Christ. This inspiring study offers an opportunity to deepen our faith, strengthen our understanding of God's Word, and grow together in Christian fellowship.
We warmly invite all members, friends, and visitors to join us as we journey through this powerful Gospel. Whether you are new to Bible study or have been studying Scripture for years, there is a place for you.
Come ready to learn, share, and be encouraged as we grow together in Christ.

Class for Youth !
We’re excited to introduce a new opportunity for our youth—Sunday Morning Fuel! This new class is designed to help students grow in their faith by connecting Scripture to everyday life.
WHO: Middle and high school youth (ages 11–18)
WHAT: Sunday Morning Fuel — a new class for youth. Led by Carol Harpole, students will examine Scripture passages and learn how to apply them to life today.
WHEN: Sundays from 9:30–10:00 AM (between Cornerstone and Fusion services) Meets the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of each month(No class on the 5th Sunday when there is one combined service.)
WHERE: Room 301 (first room upstairs above the library)
Church Directory Update
The first draft was sent to the directory company by the end of August !!!
It will take the Universal Directory company about a month to compile the photos of our members with other photos of our church life and the roster of our church family.
NAMI Is Back! Save the Date
Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 10, 2026, as we once again partner with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to support mental health awareness, education, and community encouragement.
Did you know our Pastor and Joice have signed up to walk this year as a part of the Team? We need to surround them with team members and show our support. This year's walk is at Veteran's Parkway and has a scenic shaded view along Duck Creek. We can carpool from church over the bridge. If you are a tech person, you can go to the Mississippi Valley NAMI Walk site online, search the TEAM category for Riverside UMC and donate under their or any other team members names. Of course donations are always accepted at church.

Remember that generous anonymous MATCHING DONATION UP TO $2000.00 that has been given in years past? It is back in play, so if you give $25.00, it is matched to total $50.00. YouR donation of $50.00 is matched to total $100.00!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT COMMUNITY

Looking to connect, grow, and be encouraged during the week? Join us every Wednesday evening for a time of community and spiritual enrichment!
We begin at 5:15 PM with a warm meal and relaxed fellowship. After dinner, there are opportunities for everyone, Bible study with Pastor Chidongo, Bell Choir, Chancel Choir, and more. It’s a wonderful midweek pause to learn, grow, and celebrate life together as a church family.
Bring a friend, whether they’re part of Riverside or simply looking for connection.
